A breed originally known as Sporting Dog by AKC and CKC and since 1999 by F.C.I. “Duck Toller”, or “Tollers”, is the smallest in the Retriever breed. The Tollers love the water and feel happy whenever they work or play in it. One of the things they love the most is “Toll”. Tolling is a technique used by these dogs, with which they lure water birds (i.e. ducks, etc.) in their range. However, ever more frequently, both Tollers and their Owners still practice tolling without hunting.
